Avoiding scams
For valuable items, follow these steps:
- Get a custom photo of the item, to your specifications, perhaps with the day's newspaper. Ask for an off-angle shot, or with a hand in the photo.
- Check that shipping rates are reasonable.
- Make sure the item includes eBay Buyer Protection.
