- Foragers City Grocer
- 300 W 22. Curated food, for the most part the best of gourmet groceries. They provide doughnuts from Brooklyn's Dough, as well as packaged ethiopian, Finger Lakes produce, mega-expensive ice cream and chocolate, and hot coffees. There is a little restaurant attached.

- 68 Mott St. For some salty mock meats, this is the place.

- Popover Cafe
- 551 Amsterdam Ave. I read in the summer of 2014 that this place was closed. (212) 595-8555. Fresh, buttery popovers, with extra strawberry-butter. Also their other food was good.

- 7th Ave at 8th St, Brooklyn.
- Robert Restaurant
- 2 Columbus Circle. I haven't been there yet, but it looks like the best of the restaurants with a view, and the most veggie-friendly.
- Rocking Horse Cafe
- 182 8th Ave. Tasty mexican modern.
- Taboonette
- 30 E 13st St. Unique, super-delicious, mediterranean dishes.
- Tamarind
- 22nd St off Park Ave. Recommended by Greg and Victoria and Irene.

- 60 W 23rd St. Vegetarian lunch joint. Nice smoothies and sandwiches.
- Thelewala
- 112 Macdougal St. Tasty indian street fare.
- Tien Garden
- 170 Allen St. Tiny vegan joint, all about the vegetables.
- Waldy's Wood FIred Pizza & Penne
- 800 6th Ave. Delicious thin pizza with fresh herbs you cut yourself.
- Westville Chelsea
- 246 W 18th St:Farm-to-table type food prepared very, very well. They let the long lines get to their head, though.
