Notable for using real marshmallow root, this recipe makes one quart. I use the [http://www.amazon.com/Donvier-Manual-Cream-Maker-1-Quart/dp/B00CFIKO3S/ref=sr_1_2?tag=goodshop35875-20&afsrc=1 Donvier]  hand-cranked ice cream maker.

You might want to use less vanilla which can mask the flavor of the marshmallow.

===Ingredients===
*3 eggs
*1 cup water
*1/4 cup dried marshmallow root
*1 cup milk
*1/2 cup to 1 cup sugar, depending on taste
*2 cups cream
*1 tsp dried vanilla powder or vanilla extract.

===Preparation===
#Steep marshmallow root in one cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. Strain and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
#In a saucepan, beat together 3 eggs, 1 cup milk, and marshmallow tea.
#Add sugar.
#Heat and stir constantly on medium heat for about ten minutes as mixture thickens.
#Chill by placing saucepan in a bowl of ice and stirring.
#Add cream and vanilla.
#Transfer to ice cream maker and stir until frozen.
