Most [http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/PARKS/ state parks] and national parks and monuments open May 1 in Oregon. Tent-spaces, group-tent-spaces, and yurts are available.
;[[Portland_OR|Portland]]:probably the only cheap place to fly from the east. It's a fun town to visit for a few days, place of Al+Al's wedding, Trac's family.

;Coastal Oregon:Really beautiful, interesting culture, kite-flying, biking, hiking, cheese, lumber.
;[http://www.nps.gov/crla/ Crater Lake]:Mazama Campground has 200 sites and is open mid-June through early October. Clean air; decent, easy hikes; great photography.

===Idaho===
