- probably the only cheap place to fly from the east. It's a fun town to visit for a few days, place of Al+Al's wedding, Trac's family.
- Newberry Crater
- easy hikes, coffee-drinking bears, nowhere near any big city.
- Coastal Oregon
- Really beautiful, interesting culture, kite-flying, biking, hiking, cheese, lumber.
- Crater Lake
- Mazama Campground has 200 sites and is open mid-June through early October. Clean air; decent, easy hikes; great photography.
Idaho
- Craters of the Moon
- Wilderness hiking, strikingly beautiful ground. A separate group campsite is available for $30 per night. Camping is available year-round, but water only in season.
