We have a proposal from Donohue-Halverson to replace our 1950s boiler for our hot water radiantors with a Weil-McLain Ultra 92%-98% efficient boiler. The new boiler would be condensing, sealed combustion, and optionally heat water in a domestic-hot-water tank indirectly. $7984 for the boiler install, removal of old equipment, installation of exhaust line for sealed combustion. $1745 additional for the water heater.

Boilers

Weil McLain series 3-UE
Up to 98% efficient, sealed combustion, condensing.

Weil McLain series 3:Up to 98% efficient, sealed combustion, condensing, about $3500 for a 105 MBTU/h unit.

Burnham Alpine 105:More efficient ratings than either Weil-McLain.
