How to get a Smart Playlist to display only rated tunes
If some unrated tunes are showing in a Smart Playlist with a rule for matching rated tunes, it is because the album is also rated. For example, if a playlist is set to include only tunes with a rating of four, it will include all songs from albums which are rated four.
The fix is to unrate the album, which will not change the ratings of individually rated songs. When you find unrated items in your playlist, click on their disclosure dots ..., select "Show in Album", click on the album's disclosure dots, then Rating, then None.
