Alison baking a cake in our Sun Oven

I purchased a Global Sun Oven April, 2010. It's a wonderful machine. It brings water to a roiling boil, bakes decent biscuits, and makes rice.

Features

Concentrating reflectors
Rigid aluminum vanes reflect plenty of extra light into the oven. If the oven is tilted high on its leg, a very strong gust of wind can blow the oven on its side—In windy places, one should tie ballast to the corners of the oven, or tie down the oven with a strap and tent stakes.
Leveling tray
The oven can be tilted from facing straight up to facing somewhere around 30° from up. Inside there's a tray that swings so that the pot will remain level.
Sealing gasket
A silicone gasket around the rim fits against the glass, which can be latched. At first you might see condensation on the inside of the glass, but as the glass warms, that will disappear.
